Tennessee is at an inflection point, with a rapidly growing population, now a record seven million strong. The growth is a tribute to the wonderful things the state has to offer. But it also presents a new set of challenges. Each of our citizens expect a great deal from us; we aspire to exceed their expectations. That’s why we spent months trying to understand how we can best serve them. We interviewed citizens and state employees; we collected insights from other states, and we thought hard about how to define what we can do better. The Result: The Tennessee Digital Government Strategy, our roadmap to a future where citizens can access the extensive resources we offer more efficiently, more simply, and with respect for their privacy and individual needs. The Digital Government Strategy is our signal to one and all that we intend to remain the best place in this country to work, live, and thrive.
